Figuring gravity is unlikely to fail I thought I'd try an hourglass after two different clocks have failed within 6 months of purchase. The brown/beige natural color is nice, there is a bit of gold glitter in the sand, which is a nice touch. The 50 min time measure, at least in the product I received, seems right on. Its nicer than noisy timer, and more novel than a clock for timing my client sessions. I'm a bit afraid that I may break the glass, I think it'll survive being knocked over, not sure it'll survive much of a drop. Fully satisfied, thank you!

Beautiful piece.

I've written a mystery manuscript (coming in 2027), The Listener, about a retired investigative reporter who sits and listens to people and uses an hourglass to control the length of the sessions (his penance). I searched for an hourglass that matched my vision - and this cherry hourglass is perfect. The quality, style and care with which it was delivered were first rate. A great value. It sits on my desk and I turn it each time I write.

Arrived slightly crooked, but I was able to gently adjust it in the padded setting. It's very elegant.

We used this hourglass for our wedding and it is beautiful and high quality. It is a special keepsake that we will keep for the rest of our lives.
