My husband collects hourglasses -- big, small, antique, touristy -- it doesn't matter.. He has over 200. He's also a retired professor and always has an ink pen in his pocket. The pen with an hourglass was a unique and very appropriate stocking stuffer for Christmas. He really got a kick out of it! I'm sure I'll be back on this site looking for more elaborate ones in the future, but for a "perfect for my guy" kinda gift, this one fit the bill.

I work from home and have a bad habit of tunnel vision, meaning I will easily forget to get up from my desk and hours pass. Which isn’t very healthy of me. So I decided to try this as a visual reminder. When I see the sand is empty I need to get up. It works perfect for that. It’s lovely to look and and I don’t have to bother with my phone. Got this and a smaller, 3 minute hourglass for my wife for Christmas as tea timers. One for green tea and one for black. She loved them. Much more classy than a digital timer! Would definitely recommend these. The quality and finish are excellent.
