Fillable Hourglass

For the amount you pay for this, you would think they could give you a funnel. I stead they give you directions on how to make one. no instructions on ash to sand ration so you do this quite a few times and have to buy more sand because the pittance they send you isn't near enough. end of project looks good.

I'm sorry you are unhappy with the process! Unfortunately we have been unable to find funnels that fit our globes that are bigger than 1' (very hard to fill a funnel that small) which is why we recommend fashioning one. As to the sand/ash ratio there's not a set formula. It depends on the consistency of the cremains and the type of sand you use (the sample we send is so customers have an idea of consistency they should use - we don't advertise it as being included). We wish there was an easier process for filling it's just that the nature of cremains are very inconsistent so we try to make it as easy to fill as we can :-).

The Hourglass is Beautiful. Very emotional piece of art

There should be a little larger passage through the bulbs so it actually works

And some sort of small helpful instructions of ratio would be great. Other than that pretty self explanatory

Warmth

Extremely emotional is the best way to put it. When I see the cremains of my parents in such a warm beautiful piece of art is what I will call this. Thank you for the artistry you have put into this urn.

Not as big as I was hoping but still love it

My family was looking something different than the average urn. My mother loved reading the Harry Potter book series. She loved all the movies. In her last few years, she would watch the movies when she couldn't sleep. This hourglass reminded us of Hermione's time turner. For ashes, it's the equivalent of a small or mini urn. We don't plan to turn it which is fine but if yoy are planning to use it as an hourglass with ashes in it be prepared for it to not really work. It gets trapped in the center. For us, it is fine. We bought it to look at and think of our mom.
We also got an engraved plate and it's not very big so it doesn't detract from the hourglass.
